SUMMARY:HOMETOWN HERO PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:The Somerset Hometown Hero Project Banner display will kick off on May 18th\, Armed Forces Day. A 5K race will kickoff the festivities at 9 AM at the Somerset High School football stadium. The event aims to highlight local military and first responders.\nThere are many activities planned as well as various food vendors.  Recruiters from each branch of the military will also be present.  Veterans are welcome to come and share their stories of service.  \nBanners will hang from May to September each year.  All hero photos must be submitted to somersethometownhero@gmail.com and any questions can be directed to the same email.  Also visit their Facebook page at Somerset Hometown Hero Project. \n
