Annual Fire & Ice Festival
50+ Sculptures will be featured on the sidewalks of historic Uptown Somerset. This year’s theme surrounds books. From children’s stories to classics and even new age stories, you can find scenes from your favorite stories through the street of Uptown Somerset.
All weekend long there will be food and frosty fun.
Light Up Somerset
Bundle up and enjoy the coziest night under the lights of charming, historic Uptown Somerset. Eat uptown, grab fresh-popped kettle corn, shop the Christkindl market and local boutiques, and enjoy the magic.
The fun continues into the evening as the streets close at 5 PM, ushering in the traditional holiday parade in a caravan to light the Christmas Tree in front of the Somerset County Courthouse. The theatrics of the evening jump from the lighting of the tree to dancers on the diamond, live holiday music, carolers, hot cocoa, kettle corn, wagon rides, uptown shopping, holiday markets, model train displays, and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.
68th Springs Folk Festival
The Annual Folk Festival is Springs Historical Society’s signature event, held on the first weekend in October. Come celebrate the peak of the beautiful fall foliage season at our two-day outdoor festival featuring crafts people, artisans, and entertainers. The event attracts nearly 10,000 visitors from Pennsylvania and neighboring states.
Join in the celebration of the arts and skills of our forefathers. Watch as over 100 juried artisans create. See early farming operations. Listen to music and enjoy delicious foods – fresh baked bread, donuts & take an old-fashioned hayride!
