Every year, the town of Shanksville presents a massive, village-wide rummage sale on the first Saturday of June, and every year, the Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department satisfies the taste buds of the hordes of hungry bargain hunters with a barbeque at the grove kitchen, 1291 Cornerstone Road, just below the school at the east end of Main Street, Shanksville. This year the kitchen will open at 9:00 AM, Saturday June 6th with a menu featuring charcoal broiled chicken halves, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, sides and beverages. You are invited to take a break from shopping and enjoy a tasty picnic lunch. See you there!
